Due to an internal promotion, we have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Service Engineer to join Nanosonics.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a global medical device company and play a critical role in supporting our products throughout their lifecycle. Working as part of our Service and Support team, you will help ensure our devices deliver the highest levels of reliability and performance for customers around the world.
Working closely with Service, Quality, Manufacturing, Design & Development, Sales and Marketing teams, you will support everything from new product development and validation through to complex technical investigations, service improvements and global customer support.
What you'll be doing
In this varied and hands-on role, you will:
- Develop and continuously improve service requirements, repair solutions, processes and technical training programmes.
- Represent Service in cross-functional new product development projects, supporting service requirements, verification and validation activities, including IQ, OQ and PQ.
- Provide technical support for complex product issues, customer complaints, returned product investigations and root-cause analysis.
- Train and support internal repair teams, external engineers, service partners and distributors in product support, servicing and repair.
- Work closely with Design and Manufacturing Engineering teams to ensure service requirements are considered throughout the product lifecycle.
- Support service spares strategies, global service programmes and the qualification of new service centres and facilities.
What we're looking for
We're looking for a technically capable and customer-focused engineer who enjoys solving complex problems and working collaboratively across different teams and regions.
To be successful, you will bring:
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Biomedical, Mechatronics, Electronics or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years' experience as a Service Engineer, Support Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer or similar technical role.
- Experience working with electromechanical and/or electronic devices, ideally within a medical device or other highly regulated environment.
- Strong technical documentation, analytical and problem-solving skills, with a working knowledge of manufacturing processes and technologies.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation and training skills, with the ability to work effectively with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Experience with ERP, CRM and document control systems, as well as a working knowledge of GMP and Quality Management Systems.
