Join a powerhouse team at Nanosonics
Nanosonics is looking for an experienced Supply Chain Planner to join our high-performing team and play a critical role in ensuring production and supply plans translate into reliable customer outcomes.
This is a hands-on planning role for someone who thrives in a dynamic manufacturing environment, can balance demand, capacity and material constraints, and enjoys working cross-functionally to turn plans into action. You’ll work closely with Production, Quality, Engineering, Procurement, Inventory Control and Supply Chain to ensure products are available when needed - while continuously improving planning discipline and execution.
What you’ll do
- Develop and execute production plans that balance customer demand, shipping requirements, inventory objectives, material availability and manufacturing capacity.
- Create and manage production schedules, work orders, capacity scenarios and recovery plans, tracking performance and escalating risks early.
- Partner closely with Production and cross-functional teams to manage daily priorities, constraints, shortages, bottlenecks and schedule changes.
- Execute approved BOM, MRP, ERP master data, new product and product change requirements, ensuring planning and system changes are implemented accurately and with minimal disruption.
- Review MRP outputs, planning parameters and exception messages, maintaining strong data integrity and ensuring planning signals translate into practical action.
- Support materials planning and purchasing activities, working with Procurement and suppliers to resolve shortages and protect production continuity.
- Contribute to inventory optimisation, continuous improvement, risk management and initiatives that improve planning accuracy, production flow and supply chain performance.
What you’ll bring
You’ll have 5+ years’ experience in production planning, supply planning, materials planning, manufacturing planning or a related supply chain role, ideally within a regulated manufacturing environment.
We’re looking for someone with:
- Strong production planning and schedule execution experience, including work orders, sequencing, capacity and material constraints.
- Solid ERP/MRP capability across BOMs, planning parameters, item master data and exception management. Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills, including advanced Excel and preferably Power BI.
- Experience translating business and system changes into practical planning actions and validating implementation outcomes.
- A sound understanding of materials planning, purchasing, supplier lead times and inventory control.
- Experience in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, biotech, diagnostics, healthcare or another regulated manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
- A collaborative, pragmatic approach and the confidence to work across Production, Quality, Engineering, Procurement and Supply Chain.
- A continuous improvement mindset, with the resilience and agility to operate effectively in an environment where priorities, systems and processes continue to evolve.
A tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Engineering, Logistics or a related discipline is desirable. APICS CPIM/CSCP, Lean Six Sigma or equivalent qualifications will be viewed favourably.
Why Nanosonics?
This is an opportunity to join a powerhouse team where supply chain planning is central to how we deliver for customers. You’ll have genuine ownership, exposure across the manufacturing and supply chain ecosystem, and the opportunity to make a tangible impact on production performance, supply continuity and the way we plan for the future.
If you’re an experienced planner who enjoys solving complex problems, working with great people and turning data and plans into results, we’d love to hear from you.
