Lead NPI Engineering, Process Development & Validation

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Lead NPI Engineering – Process Development & Validation to provide technical and people leadership across our New Product Introduction (NPI) portfolio. This is a critical leadership role accountable for building, leading and continuously improving the process development and validation capability within NPI to enable the successful, scalable and compliant introduction of new products globally.

You will lead a team of engineers and technical writers, influence product and manufacturing strategy from early concept through to global launch, and partner closely with R&D, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality and Regulatory teams to ensure robust, cost-effective and manufacturable solutions.

What you’ll lead

• The NPI process development and validation capability, enabling successful, scalable and compliant product launches.
• Manufacturing and sourcing strategy input for new products, in partnership with R&D and Procurement.
• Influence on Design to ensure products are manufacturable, cost-effective and aligned to commercial objectives.
• Process development, qualification and validation from early concept through launch and initial market ramp-up.
• A high-performing team of engineers and technical writers, building capability, ownership and technical excellence.
• Cross-functional collaboration across Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Regulatory and Service to deliver ready-to-manufacture solutions.
• Continuous improvement, embedding DFM/DFMA, DFI, Lean principles and other metrics/KPI’s across NPI Engineering.

What you’ll bring

• An Engineering degree or equivalent experience and 8+ years’ experience in a highly regulated environment (medical device or pharmaceutical preferred).
• Proven leadership experience, with at least 2 years developing and leading engineers.
• Deep expertise in process development and validation, including first-principles validation design.
• Strong commercial mindset, with experience influencing design decisions to meet quality, cost and risk targets.
• Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to lead through influence in complex environments.
