About the Role

We’re seeking a seasoned and proactive Lead NPI Engineer to drive process development and validation for new product introductions. In this strategic leadership role, you’ll shape manufacturing strategies, oversee validation activities, and ensure process readiness for launch. You’ll work cross-functionally across R&D, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Regulatory to ensure that new products are manufacturable, cost-effective, and compliant with global standards.

You’ll also lead and mentor a small team of engineers and technical staff, ensuring their continuous development and contribution to world-class product delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership for process development and validation in NPI projects
  • Lead the design and implementation of robust manufacturing processes for new products
  • Define and manage COGS modelling and contribute to sourcing strategy in collaboration with Procurement and R&D
  • Ensure validation and regulatory documentation is complete and ready for launch
  • Embed Lean Manufacturing, DFM and DFI principles into engineering workflows
  • Mentor and manage a team of engineers and technicians across projects
  • Coordinate process readiness activities including tooling, test methods, routings, and BOMs
  • Engage stakeholders across production, logistics, procurement, and quality to ensure seamless delivery
  • Identify and resolve design or process issues through root cause analysis and continuous improvement

Skills and Experience

  • Degree qualified in Engineering (BSc/BA or equivalent)
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in a highly regulated industry (medical device/pharma preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience managing and developing engineers
  • Proven experience in process development, validation, and manufacturing readiness
  • Strong communication, collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience with DFM, DFMA, and Lean Manufacturing methodologies
