At Nanosonics, we’re redefining infection prevention with breakthrough technologies that protect patients, healthcare workers, and environments worldwide. As we expand our global reach, we’re looking for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to help take our production capability to the next level.

About the Role

This role combines leadership, problem-solving, and process excellence. You’ll collaborate and partner across functions of the business from Production Team Members to Senior Leaders to drive improvements that ensure our world-leading medical devices are delivered efficiently, cost-effectively, and to the highest quality standards. It’s a hands-on opportunity for someone who thrives on being at the forefront of collaboration, continuous improvement, and making a real impact.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide expert support across new and existing production processes, tackling line challenges through root cause investigations, non-conformance resolution, and fast-response initiatives.
  • Optimise, validate and qualify manufacturing processes, equipment, and layout changes using Lean, SPC, and data-driven methodologies.
  • Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, cost, and capacity while supporting NPD with DFM/DFA/DFT input and regulatory compliance (ISO13485, FDA QSR).
  • Champion digital transformation projects, including smart work instructions and manufacturing dashboards.
  • Provide expert guidance to Manufacturing Engineers while driving collaboration with Supply Chain, Production, Quality, and Design.

What You’ll Bring

  • Manufacturing Engineering Champion with 5+ years’ manufacturing/process engineering experience (including 3+ in a senior role), thriving in process optimisation within complex discrete assembly environments.
  • Skilled in process documentation (work instructions, change control) and experienced with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Proven ability to define problems, lead structured problem-solving sessions, and translate outcomes into clear, actionable tasks and documentation.
  • Advanced communicator—able to present complex technical concepts persuasively across all organisational levels, using verbal, written, and visual formats.
  • Strong operations mindset, focused on balancing effort vs. impact, streamlining processes, and delivering practical, high-return improvements.
  • Demonstrated DFA & DFM expertise, collaborating closely with design teams to optimise products for manufacturability.
  • Solid technical knowledge of jigs, tools, calibration, and production equipment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, plus exposure to SPC tools, SolidWorks/AutoCAD, Altium, or Python.

Why Nanosonics?

At Nanosonics, you’ll join a supportive, purpose-driven team guided by our values of Collaboration, Innovation, Discipline, Agility, and Will to Win. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to life-changing products, grow your career, and help shape the future of safer healthcare.
