DIRECTOR MEDICAL AFFAIRS

We are seeking a visionary and accomplished Director, Medical Affairs to lead our Global Medical Affairs function. Based in Sydney and reporting to the Chief Medical Affairs and Scientific Officer, this role plays a critical part in shaping medical strategy across all global markets. As a member of the senior leadership team, you will work at the intersection of clinical insight, scientific evidence, and commercial innovation.

What You’ll Do

As Director, Medical Affairs, you will:

  • Lead the design and execution of global medical affairs strategies aligned with business priorities.
  • Inspire, mentor, and develop a high-performing Global Medical Affairs team.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate medical insights into product development, marketing, and market access.
  • Build and sustain trusted relationships with global thought leaders, key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals (HCPs), and scientific societies.
  • Champion the development of medical standards, education, toolkits, and evidence-based resources to elevate clinical practice in infection prevention.
  • Represent Nanosonics on the global stage at advisory boards, scientific conferences, and industry forums.
  • Guide the development of medical content, education, and scientific publications to support clinical adoption of our technologies.
  • Maintain medical governance, ensure compliance, and manage medical information responses.

What You Bring

  • Advanced clinical or scientific degree (e.g., PhD, MD, or relevant postgraduate clinical qualification).
  • Previous experience in global Medical Affairs, with recent leadership in medical device or life sciences organisations.
  • Proven leadership in developing medical strategy and building high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with experience working across commercial, regulatory, and clinical functions.
  • Deep understanding of the global healthcare landscape and medical affairs operations.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to drive alignment between clinical and commercial priorities.
  • Strategic thinking and agility in navigating change and complexity.
