PROJECT MANAGER

We are currently seeking a Project Manager to join our dynamic R&D team and play a key role in the successful delivery of innovative, cross-disciplinary projects. This is an exciting opportunity to influence and drive projects that contribute directly to the future of infection prevention.

About the role:

As Project Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of R&D projects within a regulated medical device environment, in accordance with Nanosonics’ Quality Management System. This includes:

  • Managing R&D projects from concept through to release-to-manufacturing.
  • Overseeing multiple work packages across projects.
  • Leading cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Project planning, budgeting, risk management, and stakeholder reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans and schedules.
  • Ensure delivery of milestones and outputs in compliance with ISO13485 and other regulatory standards.
  • Maintain clear and accurate records of project actions, decisions, and progress.
  • Proactively identify, mitigate and manage risks.

Team Leadership

  • Lead multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, electronic, software) in a collaborative and productive manner.
  • Clearly define goals, responsibilities and expectations.
  • Foster a high-performing, engaged team culture.

Communication & Reporting

  • Communicate project progress, risks, and key updates to sponsors and senior stakeholders.
  • Develop project dashboards, reports and presentations to ensure visibility and alignment.

What You’ll Bring

  • 5–10 years’ experience managing multidisciplinary projects, ideally in a regulated industry such as medical devices or healthcare technology.
  • Strong track record in project delivery across software, mechanical, and electronic systems.
  • Experience working within a Quality Management System (e.g. ISO13485, 21 CFR Part 820).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without direct authority.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Commercial and strategic acumen, with the ability to drive results.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
