As we continue to grow globally, we are seeking a Business Process Architect to shape the future of our R&D operations and enable scalable, efficient business transformation.

The Opportunity

As our Business Process Architect, you will be at the forefront of business transformation, process innovation, and governance within our Research & Development function. This is a strategic role with wide visibility across the organisation — ideal for someone who thrives in cross-functional environments, thinks end-to-end, and has a passion for embedding enterprise thinking into scalable business architecture.

Key Responsibilities

Process Architecture & Strategy

  • Analyse current business processes to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities
  • Design and document optimized, scalable processes aligned with business strategy and regulatory frameworks
  • Build and maintain a comprehensive R&D process architecture framework

Governance & Ownership

  • Deploy process governance structures and facilitate ownership across R&D teams
  • Conduct process audits and lead continuous improvement initiatives
  • Act as a key liaison between R&D, Quality, IT, and other business units to ensure alignment and integration

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Influence and partner with leaders across the organisation to embed process accountability
  • Champion a culture of collaboration, agility, and innovation in process management
  • Provide coaching and leadership to process owners, empowering change and ownership

Technology & Enablement

  • Identify opportunities for process automation and digital enablement
  • Contribute to the selection and integration of technologies that support business transformation

About You

You're an experienced business process expert who thrives in regulated environments and understands the unique demands of R&D operations. You bring both strategic vision and executional rigour, and are comfortable leading cross-functional initiatives with high visibility.

Your Background

  • 5–10 years’ experience in process architecture, improvement or transformation
  • Proven success in a regulated industry (Medical Device industry highly regarded)
  • Deep expertise in business process modelling, analysis and documentation
  • Skilled in enterprise process management and process governance
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation and influencing skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related discipline

You Also Bring

  • Experience working across jurisdictions and with regulatory constraints
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • A collaborative, agile mindset aligned to Nanosonics' core values: Collaboration, Innovation, Discipline, Agility, and Will to Win
