What you will do
Reporting to the Usability Engineering Manager this role will support the usability of Nanosonics new and exiting products through the lifecycle.
- Characterisation of users, use Environments, and user interfaces
- Identification and treatment of Hazards and Risks related to usability
- Critical task identification and analysis
- Prepare, recruit, and execute usability studies
- Generate and maintain documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements
What you will bring
Ideally you will have experience in Usability/Human Factors Engineering in a medical device or highly regulated industry setting. This role requires an individual with drive and initiative. You will be a fast learner and confident to work undirected at times as well as collaborate closely with multifunctional teams.
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in Design, Engineering, Regulatory Affairs or a related discipline
- At least 2 years working in a related Human Factors/Usability Engineering role, such as for UI design, transport, infrastructure, aviation or other industries
- Medical device experience would be a big plus
- Knowledge of Human Factors and Usability Engineering principles, standards, guidance, and regulations for Medical Devices
- Knowledge of Medical Device design processes and the integration of Usability into the design process
- Experience preparing Usability Engineering documentation
- Experience planning, conducting and reporting Usability studies
- Experience with QMS
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
